Activities

Altar and Rosary Society

On the first Sunday of every month the Society attends Liturgy together at 9:00 AM.  The Altar and Rosary Society meets on the fourth Thursday of every month at 7:30 PM in Memorial Hall.  The meetings begin with the recitation of the Rosary followed by Benediction.  The meetings are filled with interesting activities and excellent refreshments.  Membership dues are $3.00 per year.

The members of the Altar and Rosary Society offer their time to care for and maintain the altar, linens,  sanctuary, sacristy and general church areas.  At Christmas and Easter the Altar Rosary Society assists with arranging the beautiful flowers used to decorate the altar and church.

In addition, members do some activities which help them with fund raising for their charitable purposes.  They sponsor an annual Craft Show in November,  an Easter Candy Drive, a Chinese Auction.

The Altar and Rosary Society has long been the most popular society for women in the parochial life in the Dioceses of the United states.  It is one of the oldest confraternities of the church.  The idea for the confraternity was first proposed in 1470 by Blessed Alan, a Dominican Friar, who had a deep devotion to the Rosary.  The Rosarians form a great army of spiritual apostles under the banner of Mary.  They join in prayer that is continuous praise, devotion and intercession to Mary, Queen of the Most Holy Rosary.

Holy Name Society

Monthly Meetings - Second Thursday of the month at 8:00 PM in Memorial Hall.

Members of the Society assist at Liturgy at 9:00 AM on the Sunday following their meeting.

St. Vincent de Paul Society

Our St. Vincent de Paul society actively contributes to the life of our parish.  Those who are in need are ministered to in a variety of ways.  Many families receive bags of  food each week and financial assistance in emergency situations.

Resources for St. Vincent de Paul come from several sources.  People contribute food, clothing and items of furniture.  Memorials for the deceased bring financial support.

Many Generous parishioners staff and organize our Thrift Shop where items of clothing and furniture are sold at extremely reasonable prices.  The proceeds from this shop help to buy food for those in need.  The store is open Monday through Saturday 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

The Society meets on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month in Memorial Hall at 9:15 AM.

Holy Family PTA

The PTA of Holy Family School meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 8:00 PM in the school Cafeteria.

Golden Age Seniors

Meetings - each Monday 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Memorial Hall.

This group gives Seniors an opportunity to be with others and also to plan trips for their pleasure. Membership is limited due to the size of Memorial Hall.  Presently there is a waiting list for membership.
